Acupuncture  is an ancient practice that can promote healing by stimulating specific points on the body. It can alleviate pain, reduce stress, and enhance overall health.

A 2014 study published in the  Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena identified the existence of acupuncture points. Researchers used CT scans on both non-acupuncture points and acupuncture point anatomical structures  to reveal differences between the two. Acupuncture points have a higher density of micro-vessels and contain a large amount of involuted microvascular structures.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

In general, the older the illness, the longer it takes to cure, thus patients should not expect a “miracle”. Also, since every person is treated as a unique individual, it is not possible to forecast exactly the duration of the treatments. Another factor is the reaction to the treatment itself.  Acupuncture does have a cumulative effect, as treatment numbers increase so do thebenefits.  One or two visits a week is usual, your practitioner will draw on his experience to advise you in this matter.
