Laser Acupuncture

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for acupuncture, also known as laser acupuncture, is a technique that uses low-intensity laser light to stimulate acupuncture points on the body. It is an alternative to traditional acupuncture and uses a Class 3B laser (typically under 500mW per diode), which emit non-thermal light. This means it doesn’t heat or damage tissue but instead triggers cellular responses through photobiomodulation. The laser light stimulates the acupuncture points, influencing the flow of "qi" (energy) along meridians (energy pathways) in the body, similar to traditional acupuncture. This process may stimulate cellular processes, such as increased ATP production, improve blood flow, and reduce inflammation.
